FileMaker Cloud is now available Three new locations outside the United States, namely Australia, Canada, and Japan. The Apple subsidiary finally extended its presence in these new regions.
By launching the service on the AWS platform, and offering it through the AWS Marketplace.
This is part of the international availability rollout of the FileMaker Cloud service, which provides users with minimal development experience the ability to deploy apps in the cloud using a subscription model without the need of on-premises infrastructure.
Prior to its local presence, the service was only available to customers via the US based datacentre.
Ann Monroe, vice president of customer success at FileMaker, said that the company aims to assist people and businesses in creating custom applications, without the need of heavy software development skills:
“We’ve worked hard to make our technology accessible for everyone. We’re really excited to make FileMaker cloud available in the regional detacentres.”
FileMaker currently boasts more than a million users under active subscription, and businesses in several different sectors and industries are using the service:

Global customers of the service include names like The Gorilla Foundation, Hallmark Cards, Coca-Cola Andina, and Ingram Micro, who have improved business operations and streamlined their budgets by managing custom apps in the cloud.
All without spending the time and resources to maintain a server.
