Shows off the new abilities nicely.
Lumberyard is a free, cross-platform AAA game engine that Amazon has deeply integrated with its AWS and Twitch services. It provides full source code, which the company made available on GitHub this August.
Originally based on CRYENGINE, Amazon has overhauled over 50% of the original code base, as it moves full speed ahead to bringing it out of beta and into full release.
This free engine is available to everyone, and there are no seat licenses, royalties, or subscriptions required. Developers only pay standard AWS fees for the AWS services that they choose to use, if they integrate cloud into their games and creations.
