ML Solutions Lab. Amazon Web Services is all set for a major machine learning push, with the cloud giant announcing the opening of ML Solutions Lab, a solution meant for enterprise customers.
As detailed, this is a new collaboration and education program that connects Amazon machine learning experts with AWS customers and partners, with the intention of accelerating the application of ML within their organizations.
This announcement comes as the cloud giant is gearing up for its re:Invent conference later this month.
Basically, the ML Solutions Lab will be available to any AWS Business Support customer, and will help Amazon ramp up not only its artificial intelligence solutions, but also business consultancy — a key cornerstone for providing IT services to corporate customers.
In the words of Swami Sivasubramanian, vice president of Amazon AI:
“We can’t wait for developers to start their journeys into machine learning with the Amazon ML Solutions Lab. By combining the expertise of the best machine learning scientists and practitioners at Amazon with the deep business knowledge of our customers, the Amazon ML Solutions Lab will help customers get up to speed on machine learning quickly, and start putting machine learning to work inside their organizations.”
The company already has a bunch of customers onboard early, including names like The Washington Post, Janssen, the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson, as well as the World Bank Group.
