AWS Elemental has appointed Simon Frost, a former Ericsson executive, as head of its marketing and business development for the highly important and rapidly growing EMEA region.
Europe, Middle East and Africa, that be.
Frost is no stranger to the field of video, streaming, or video streaming, for that matter. Prior to working at Ericsson, he worked at its predecessor Tandberg Television, and Harmonic. At Ericsson, he worked as global head of marketing at communication, a role he held for nearly six years.
Speaking on the occasion, Frost said:
“I am delighted to be at the nucleus of cloud transformation, working for the world leader in cloud video, AWS Elemental. I believe that only those who embrace cloud approaches, IP interconnect and delivery and blend this with the deepest AI insight and focus on the end viewer will thrive.”
Elemental Technologies, a software company now owned by AWS, specializes in providing multiscreen video solutions. It’s technologies power AWS Elemental media services, which provides video workflows for media and entertainment franchises worldwide.
AWS Elemental creates software that performs video encoding, decoding, transcoding, and pixel processing for adaptive bitrate streaming of video over IP networks.
