Another day, another direct access. The cloud connectivity landscape has seen another enhancement, as Windstream rolled out an enhanced version of its Cloud Connect offering on Wednesday.
It allows customers to connect to cloud providers like such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, IBM, Google, Oracle and Salesforce, with flexible bandwidth options that range from 50 Mbps to 10 Gbps, as well as custom offerings using multiple 10 Gbps connections.
The company has also confirmed supports a variety of connectivity options, including SD-WAN, MPLS VPN, VLS or new wavelengths.
This, it says, allows customers the ability to create a cloud-optimized network — one that is supported by the highly proficient technical assistance team of engineers over at Windstream.
In the words of Joseph Harding, the executive vice president and enterprise chief marketing officer:
“By offering customers this connectivity, we give our partners the ability to meet the growing service and bandwidth needs of their customers. With the expectation for cloud services in the United States to double in the next five years, it’s a trend we believe our partners will be interested in.”
Customers will be aloe to easily move data and workloads between cloud environments, and maximize flexibility and scalability by integrating dedicated onsite IT infrastructure with shared offsite cloud-based environments
Cloud Connect is available to both Windstream partners, as well as companies that are in its nationwide service area.
